About me
A good likeness is what a portrait is all about. However, I do not strive for portraiture with photographic precision, but think it is especially important to add a "sparkle" in the appearance so that the drawn portrait rises above the photo and an artistic whole is created, in which the character is expressed.
I have been drawing portraits since childhood. It continues to fascinate me that you can create a person or animal with character from a blank paper or canvas.
I have been working mainly with soft pastels for over 20 years. With this medium you can achieve beautiful effects. The combination of powdery appearance and at the same time the intensity of the many beautiful colors and the speed with which you can work makes this my absolute favorite.
